Qi Yan and He Shichen had been competitors for years.

He Shichen was not one who would meddle in matters that did not concern him. Him reacting the way he did right now meant that he was related to Chu Qianli in other ways.

Chu Qianli nodded, “Yes, I am.”

He Shichen walked over in brisk steps. Looked straight at Qi Yan, he said to her nonchalantly, “The He family can afford to support her. Even if she isn’t all that smart, I doubt she would ever need to worry about money in this life time.”

Chu Qianli felt aggrieved. “I’m not that smart?”

Tan Muxing comforted her gently. “Alright. That’s not true.”

The students in the class started to take off and only a few stayed behind in the corner.

Chu Qianli froze in front of her desk and couldn’t even cover up her surprised look.

Qi Yan’s words reminded her of what it felt like when she first started learning divination. She understood every single word separately but, when they were all put into a sentence, she had no idea what they meant. Stupefied, she asked, “What do you mean by that?”

Qi Yan placed her both hands on the desk, leaned forward, and said calmly. “Boys don’t have that much more over girls. I am just suggesting you to be more fluid when it comes to gender.”

Chu Qianli, “……”

Chu Qianli started freaking out a little. She looked over to her deskmate for help. She was mortified.

Tan Muxing, too, had a numb look on him. He mouthed to her wordlessly – RUN!

Qiu Qingkong, who was just about to step out of the classroom, saw the person walking in their direction and was taken aback. “Eh? Qi Yan?”

“Hi. Can you please tell me where the grandmaster sits?”

“Oh? Teacher?” Qiu Qingkong pointed and said, “Over there.”

Chu Qianli was packing up at the time. When she looked up, she saw a delicate and attractive girl with bright and lively eyes whom she had never met before standing in front of her desk. Chu Qianli looked baffled and at loss. The long-haired girl had outstanding aura. Her brows long and curvy and her eyes distinguished and pretty.

Qi Yan smiled at her and said, “I’ve come since you have invited me.”

Chu Qianli, “?”

The class teacher pulled a chair over and sat down next to He Shichen. He looked like he had something to say but was struggling to say it out loud. “Shichen, have you heard the rumors lately? Like now Chu Qianli was playing this little game with the other students……”

He Shichen’s face dropped when he heard that. “……”

Noticing He Shichen’s gloomy look, he quickly tried to salvage the situation. “I am not saying that its bad. We don’t deter students from having hobbies but school is where they come to learn. Certain activities should be kept lowkey and not seem too showy……”

Qiu Qingkong said in a complacent manner, “More and more people are coming the last couple of days. I think we will have people coming different grades shortly!”

Chu Qianli was impressed. “You are so good at advertising.”

Near the rear of the classroom, someone peeked at Chu Qianli and her gang’s divination process before she reported back to her own classroom in a hurry.

Inside the neighboring classroom, a few individuals gathered in a corner discussing the new astrologist among their peers.

The messenger returned and griped, “Qiu Qingkong was monitoring it closely and wouldn’t let anyone close to listen in. She even pace back and forth to surveil.”

“Is she really that accurate?” Someone else was curious. “I thought it is all a scam.”

“Better to believe in it than not. Even my dad will consult a fortuneteller for the best time to launch his company!”

“But all the fengshui master are old, no? The transfer student is our age.”

Chu Qianli was very energetic in between classes and started her work. There was a string of nonstop people coming over to her desk. Some were in line for a reading; others were just gathering around to see what was going on.

Tan Muxing was taking down information next to Chu Qianli and Qiu Qingkong stood to the side to disperse the people. She said loudly, “Please do not listen in if you don’t have an appointment. Please be respectful to others’ privacy and not gather around here……”

“Can’t I just be curious and listen in?”

“If you are curious about astrology, make you own appointed.” Qiu Qingkong went on to explain, “But our customers would not like it when you listen in either. Many of their questions are personal.”

Qiu Qingkong was baffled, “And what did that mean?”

Chu Qianli stared at Tan Muxing quietly.

Her studying him made him nervous and subconsciously felt uneasy.

Qiu Qingkong stared at Chu Qianli blankly. “And how did you get that?”

The two of them looked at the same set of dice but the outcomes of their divination were like night and day!

Chu Qianli said softly, “Normally speaking, no. But aren’t we here to scam others?”

Tan Muxing, “……”

Chu Qianli reminded him kindly, “If you ever run into an astrologist like her, you can pretty much conclude that it is a scam.”

Most astrologists would interpret the dice or tarot cards in person; otherwise, they were very likely half-@$$ ones or straight up scam artists.

Qiu Qingkong was an exception to the rule. She was able to run back half-way and ask for help.

Qiu Qingkong didn’t care about their tease. She showed the dice in her hands to Chu Qianli and described the situation to her dramatically. “Teacher, she couldn’t locate her cellphone. This is the result that we got. How would I interpret them?”

Chu Qianli’s astrology business launched officially at school with the help of Tan Muxing and Qiu Qingkong.

Tan Muxing shook his head. “Sorry, I don’t.”

Chu Qianli was dumbfounded. “Then how do you know that she is a good candidate?”

Qiu Qingkong raised her hand up in the air. “Em, Teacher, my family is in the media business. The entire class know this.”

Tan Muxing added in good temper. “One of the biggest media companies in the country at that. One doesn’t need astrology to figure that out.”

Chu Qianli, “! ! ?”

Chu Qianli woke up groggily the next morning. Turning off the alarm clock casually, she laid back down in bed and studied her star charts before she leisurely got up to get ready.

Her homework notebook and her poker card sprawled all over the top of her desk. There was also a stack of unopened tarot cards to one side. Chu Qianli swept everything into her backpack and, with an irresponsible shake, her organizing was completed.
