Chapter 459 - "What did you say her name is again?" (1)

Wen Rugui looked at her with his ink-black eyes. He was just about to talk when he heard Zhou Yan and Huang Qimin’s voices coming from the outside.

The pink bubbles that filled the room all popped.

Tong Xuelu quickly got up and saw two men walking toward them.

She had met Huang Qimin in the past. She smiled and greeted him, “Hi, Comrade Huang. It is nice to see you again.”

Huang Qimin was pleasantly surprised. “I can’t believe you still remember me, Comrade Tong. You are here to visit Rugui?”

Tong Xuelu nodded, “Yes. I was very worried when I learned about his injury, that was why I decided to come along with Grandpa Wen and Uncle Zong. Thank you for taking care of Rugui these last couple of days.”

Huang Qimin waved his hand. “Rugui is my bro. It’s my duty to take care of him.”

Zhou Yan nudged him with his elbow and mouthed, “Hurry up and introduce us.”

Huang Qimin finally pointed at Zhou Yan and said, “This is Zhou Yan. He, too, is Rugui’s bro. The three of us are very close.”

Tong Xuelu smiled and said, “Hi, Comrade Zhou. Thank you for helping taking of Rugui all the time.”

“Don’t mention it.”

After some chattering, Tong Xuelu returned to the city with Pu Jianyi.

Old Mr. Wen and Uncle Zong would be staying on base to take care of Wen Rugui.

There were extra rooms on base, so their staying there would not be a problem.

Tong Xuelu told Wen Rugui to rest up and not to worry about a thing. They would pick up the subject of engagement after he had recovered.

Before Tong Xuelu visited, Wen Rugui was very distressed thinking that he would not be able to have children. Now that he had found out that Tong Xuelu would continue to stay by his side even under such situation, he was ecstatic.

After Tong Xuelu was gone, Huang Qimin and Zhou Yan could clearly smell the distinct foul smell of love from Wen Rugui’s face.

Zhou Yan took the opportunity when Uncle Zong and Old Mr. Wen were cleaning the room next door and quickly asked, “Did you tell your girlfriend that you won’t be able to have children?”

Wen Rugui nodded, “Yes, I did. She said she didn’t mind.”

As for the part that women could be on top, his instinct told him that he did not want to share that.

Both Zhou Yan and Huang Qimin looked envious and touched. “Comrade Tong is so nice to you.”

Wen Rugui’s lips curved upward. “She is very nice.”

So nice that he wanted to serve the whole world up to her on a silver platter.

After finding out that Wen Rugui was alright, Tong Xuelu finally felt relieved.

She wanted to laugh when she thought about his little mix up.

Seeing the smile on her face, Pu Jianyi asked, “Comrade Tong, have you meet up with Comrade Jiao again since the day of the barbeque?”

Tong Xuelu lifted her brows. “Why do you ask?”

Pu Jianyi looked shy for a change. “I feel that she’s a very nice girl.”

Tong Xuelu, “Are you saying that you want to date her?”

Pu Jianyi, “I would very much like that. I just don’t know how she feels about e.”

Tong Xuelu said, “The two of us are not very close. I have no idea how she feels about you but I know that she and Big Sister Danhung are close. Considering what had transpired between you and Big Sister Danhung, I don’t think Comrade Jiao will feel warm and fuzzy about you.”

Pu Jianyi bit down on his lip. “I was wrong. I should not have blabbered in the past. But I am aware of my mistake now. Don’t tell me that Comrade Jiang is still mad at me.”

Tong Xuelu, “Big Sister Danhung had it hard. I feel that even if the rest of the world can’t understand her, at least her friends should not be hurting her. You owe her an apology.”

The fact that Jiang Danhung could get out of the production team and be able to successfully turn in her uncle, Pu Jianyi had played a bigger role than Wen Rugui did.

Jiang Danhung even stayed over to Pu Jianyi’s place for a little while. If it wasn’t Pu Jianyi’s blabbermouth, Jiang Danhung would be very appreciative of him.

Now that appreciation was tainted.

Jiang Danhung still kept in contact with Pu Jianyi’s parents and would visit them with gifts often. She was, however, cold when it came to Pu Jianyi.
