Tong Xuelu studied him and asked, “How did it go? Did the two ministers agree to our plan?”

Su Yueshen’s eyes beaned. “Yes, they did. I came to pick you up to take you to my place so you can help Comrade Du with her disguise.”

Tong Xuelu’s eyes lit up as well when she heard that. “I have given it some thought. I think its best if I go straight to the Prosecutor’s Office to help Comrade Du with her disguise.”

Su Yueshen gave it some thought and also nodded. “That’s not a bad idea. That will allow the Prosecutor Office to have a first-hand look at what we are trying to accomplish.”

Tong Xuelu did not ride with Su Yueshen. She took her own bicycle and headed over to the Su’s with him. Then they brought all 3 witnesses with them over to the Prosecutor Office.

Deputy Director Zheng saw the four individuals that Su Yueshen had brought with him. He looked them over and said, “Comrade Tong is here as well? Is she one of the witnesses as well?”

Tong Xuelu shook her head. “No, I am here to help with the makeup.”

Deputy Director Zheng, “I didn’t know that Comrade Tong is so multi-talented. I’ve already had an office set up for you. I’ll have someone take you there.”

An administrator came over and brought them over to the office.

Having said that, he had someone present the evidence and also to bring the witnesses.

Yan Yongan stared at the door and he saw a stranger walking in. Walking behind the stranger was his brother-in-law, Du Chuan, Du Mei’s younger brother.

The first witness was Wang Fujin.

Deputy Director Zheng said, “You told the public that your wife insisted on visiting the steep cliff but Wang Fu heard with his own ears that it was your idea. Your wife was already tired and did not wish to go. You were the one who insisted on carrying her up the cliff!”

Wang Fujin nodded. “That’s exactly it. I was looking for mushrooms inside the forest and also pick up some firewood. I was behind a large tree, which was why the couple did not see me.

“I left after I had finished collecting the firewood. As I live further in the village, I had no idea that the female comrade had fallen off the cliff.”

It was Su Yueshen who visited the little village below the cliff and asked to see if anyone had gone to the mountain that day when he made contact with Wang Fujin.
