Looking at Lu Jue’s black eyes with his rationality gone, Ning Zhi’s eyes reddened instantly.
She was not as strong as Lu Jue. Grabbing onto the stock tightly, the sharp edges on the rock cut opened her delicate skin.

Lu Jue clumsily reached his hand out but then saw that his fingers were covered in direct. He quickly wiped his hand clean on his clothes before he held up Ning Zhi’s bleeding hand with his hands shaking. “It’s read. Zhizhi hurts.”
“Young Master Lu Jue, our arm is hurt.”
“Xiao Jue!” Mother Lu finally caught up and immediately saw that her son’s arm was bleeding.
Lu Jue ignored all of them. His lips pinched shut, he looked at the blood on Ning Zhi’s hand nervously. It was a startling red.
His voice was low and dull. He said in a panic, “Treatment. Zhizhi needs medical treatment.”
Right when Lu Jue was about to drag Ning Zhi to have medicines applied on her, Ning Zhi’s hand that was cut opened recovered. Even the bright red blood was gone.
Lu Jue looked at Ning Zhi’s hand in a daze. He noticed that both the wounds and the blood were gone. He looked curiously at Ning Zhi’s hand repeatedly and, after a long time, he finally said slowly, “Recovered. Zhizhi recovered.”
Ning Zhi jerked her hand back abruptly and stared at Lu Jue. “You broke your promise. You were hurting yourself again earlier.”
Next to them, Mother Lu had the nurse bring her son back for medical treatment. “Xiao Jue, let’s head back into your room first. You are hurt.”
She didn’t understand what her son was saying but that wasn’t unusual. Her son would talk to himself from time to time.
Lu Jue did not listen to any of them. He looked at Ning Zhi pitifully. Lu Jue’s fingers trembled and he felt an awful feeling in his chest when he saw Ning Zhi’s red eyestu
“No cry, Zhizhi.”
Ning Zhi didn’t say a word. She turned to leave.
Lu Jue quickly followed behind her. Startled by his action, Mother Lu had the nurse gave chase again.
She did not wish to lock or tie her son up.
Returning to Lu Jue’s room, Ning Zhi sat down on the couch and she refused to look at Lu Jue who was standing in front of her.
“Zhizhi, my fault.” Lu Jue squatted down by Ning Zhi’s feet and apologized to her pitifully. “Sorry. Sorry. My fault.”
He knew that he had made Zhizhi mad and allowed her to get hurt. He made her cried. He made a mistake. A very, very big mistake.
Ning Zhi said nothing.
Lu Jue had very limited vocabulary. He looked at Ning Zhi stubbornly with his pitch-black eyes and could do nothing but kept on repeating, “No cry, Zhizhi. No cry, Zhizhi.”
Without getting a response, Lu Jue was disappointed like a little puppy who had been abandoned by its owner.
He lowered his head and his fingers that were covered I wounds held onto Ning Zhi’s clothes. “I’m sorry. No mad, Zhizhi.”
“Hurry up, Xiao Jue. Let’s have you treated.” Mother Lu had the first aid kit brought over already.
Ning Zhi said, “Your arm is hurt. Get treated first.”
Lu Jue looked up quickly when he heard her words. “Zhizhi treat.”
He wanted Zhizhi to take care of him.
Lu Jue took the first aid kit from Mother Lu and, under Mother Lu’s surprised look, dragged Ning Zhi into the bathroom and slammed the door shut behind him.
“Xiao Jue?”
Mother Lu knocked on the door a few times and looked worried. “What is going on with him?”
“Maybe he wanted to apply the medications himself.” Father Lu comforted his wife. “Didn’t he say he is going to do it himself?”
“I guess so?” Mother Lu’s brows unfurrowed. “Does he know how?”
“It’ll be fine. Let’s just wait and see.”
