The big bouquet of red roses were drooping from being in the sun for too long. They had lost their fresh color. Holding onto them, Lu Jue looked as pitiful as the flowers.

He continued to stand there, waiting for Zhizhi. He was a little happy. He had already seen Zhizhi twice today.

Ning Zhi’s body froze a little and she did not take the roses from him. “I don’t like flowers.”

Lu Jue blinked and he looked at her quizzically with his beautiful cherry-blossom eyes. “What does Zhizhi like? I’ll go buy.”

He would buy anything and everything for Zhizhi.

Ning Zhi’s face was stern. “I don’t like anything. You need to stop coming.”

“I can’t make that promise, Zhizhi.” Lu Jue pulled the roses back. Being under the sun for so long, a few petals fell off. Lu Jue lowered his head. His deep and hoarse voice stubborn and aggrieved. “I want to see Zhizhi. Need come.”

Lu Jue worried that Zhizhi would find him disobedient. He pinched his lips a little and his straight and long lashes fluttered. He looked very pitiful. “I am not noisy, Zhizhi.”

He would just wait outside the door. Zhizhi could come and see him whenever she wanted.

He just needed to know that Zhizhi was there.

Unlike in the past, he had waited for a very, very long time for Zhizhi after she had disappeared.

Ning Zhi suddenly felt guilty. She felt that she should not have been bullying him the way that she did.

As she thought about that, she reached out and look the bouquet of flowers from Lu Jue. She lowered her head, took a look at it, and said, “Ugly.”

Lu Jue’s eyes were bright. “Zhizhi pretty. The flowers are not as pretty as Zhizhi.”

Zhizhi was the prettiest.

Inside the living room.

The butler saw their miss brought Young Master Lu inside again. He still recalled how she had told him, calmly and coldly, earlier that morning to just ignore Young Master Lu.

This was the second time that their miss had gone back on her own words.

Ning Zhi sat down on the couch and Lu Jue stood in front of her, dazed.

“Well, sit. Haven’t you stood enough already?” Ning Zhi placed the bouquet of flowers on top o the end table.

Lu Jue sat down next to Ning Zhi. “Zhizhi.”

His long and slender finger held onto Ning Zhi’s clothes stealthily. “Zhizhi.”

“Zhizhi, Zhizhi……”

“I am here.”

Lu Jue’s lips curved upward slightly and his little dimple on the side of his cheek could be seen. He had called out to Zhizhi many times in the past with no response.

Now he would get a response when he called Zhizhi.
