Gu Nian looked through the mail carefully and nodded approvingly. “I have checked out BH Media’s registered capital and operations in the past. Their projects most likely are well planned.”
Jiang Xiaoqing, “That’s awesome! Let’s go together, Yuanyuan! We can keep each other company during the training curriculum!”
Qin Yuanyuan was hesitant.
Jiang Xiaoqing suddenly recalled something in the middle of her excitement. She frowned and turned her head. “It says here that this training curriculum is three-months long and, with the exception of dropping out of it, we cannot leave the school more than 3 times. That means you will be living here all by yourself when you return from your filming, Gu Nian.”
Gu Nian, “Mmm. That’s awesome. I had always been wondering what it was like to have the whole 80 square meter luxurious living in City K all to myself.”
Jiang Xiaoqing, “?!”
Amidst Jiang Xiaoqing’s OOoooh,-I-shall-pinch-you-to-death,-you-dawg giggling and shouting, the two on the couch tumbled together again.
Standing across from the two of them and looking at them helplessly, Qin Yuanyuan looked back at her phone with a complicated look.
At 9:00 AM the next morning.
The filming crew from Gold-Medal Screenwriter arrived to pick up Gu Nian. Standing outside the door was none other than Qi Han from the other day.
“Good morning, Screenwriter Gu.”
Gu Nian was surprised. “Mr. Qi?”
On Qi Han’s baby face was still that smile that belonged to an insurance salesperson. “I am here to pick up Screenwriter Gu for the airport. Are you ready to head out?”
Gu Nian recollected herself, “Hold on just a moment, Mr. Qi. I won’t be long.”
“Sure. No rush. Take your time, Screenwriter Gu.”
Gu Nian returned to her room and dragged her suitcase out. She exchanged a few words with Qin Yuanyuan and Jiang Xiaoqing and asked, again, worried, “Yuanyuan, you have turned down the contract with Dingke Media, right?”
Qin Yuanyuan was taken aback a little. She nodded when she recollected herself. “Yes, I’ve already emailed them.”
“Alright.”
Gu Nian ran everything through in her head one more time and finally felt relaxed and good-spirited. She chuckled. “Alright, then see you guys later?”
Jiang Xiaoqing threw her arms around Gu Nian. “Wuwu, Guru Gu Nian, I’ll miss you!”
Gu Nian smiled and dodged. “Yeah, right.”
Jiang Xiaoqing, failing to throw her arms around Gu Nian, said, “Woman who puts her son over her friends! I bet you can’t wait to throw yourself into your son’s arms, huh?”
Gu Nian smiled languidly, “Eh? How did you know?”
“Hrm!”
Qi Han was still waiting outside the door and Gu Nian didn’t want to keep him waiting. After she said her goodbyes with Jiang Xiaoqing and Qin Yuanyuan, she took a deep breath and walked out of their apartment with her suitcase in tow.
Qi Han was being a true gentleman and absolutely insisted on carrying Gu Nian’s suitcase for her.
Finally, Qi Han said very solemnly with his baby face, “I can lose my job if you don’t let me carry that for you, Screenwriter Gu.”
Gu Nian wasn’t sure what to make of that. “You are the project manager. Who can fire you?”
Qi Han replied expressionlessly. “Our boss.”
Gu Nian, “?”
While inside the elevator and with no chance of anyone overhearing them, Qi Han had no problem spilling the beans. “Our boss has been very fond of Screenwriter Gu…’s script writing ability ever since the Demons’ script.”
Gu Nian was flattered. “Really?”
Qi Han, “Yes. If he found out that I allowed you to carry your own luggage, I very well might lose my job.”
Gu Nian made a joke. “A person who could turn BH Media into an up and coming company in such a short period of time on top of our remote communication the other day, I don’t believe that Mr. Qi’s boss is such an unreasonable person.”
“No, you don’t know.” Qi Han was short of crying. “If this was the old days, he would for sure be a horrible emperor who would commit an act that is against heaven and nature for a seductive woman!”
Gu Nian looked a little surprised.
Having said that, something occurred to Qi Han and he turned his head and said, “Oh, Screenwriter Gu, please don’t misunderstand, I am not calling you a seductive woman.”
Gu Nian, “…………?”
That really hadn’t crossed her mind had he not mentioned it.
Gu Nian finally lost the battle, and her suitcase was taken by Qi Han, who led the way into an underground parking garage nearby. Qi Han brought Gu Nian over to a temporary parking spot next to the elevator lobby.
Parked there was a very lowkey business limousine.
“Here we are, Screenwriter Gu. You can go ahead and get inside the car. I’ll put your suitcase into the trunk.”
“Alright. Thank you, Mr. Qi.”
