The Goofy Poll
If you don’t already know this:

I’ve subscribed to a whole year of Survey Monkey and its your duty, as my readers, to assist me in amortizing the cost (by responding to my polls =)
So Fuyu and I had been having this conversation about “goofy” for a while now. My opinion on “goofy” is that it’s a neutral word that describe a part of an individual’s personally. The fact that I have, occasionally, in the past, been told/called that may or may not have influenced my opinion on that. =P
Fuyu, on the other hand, view it as a negative term, an equivalent of calling someone “stupid”. She said the word reminds her of Goofy, the Disney character.
And, of course, when two translators can’t see eye to eye on an English word, we resorted to the only possible resolution — take it up with our readers.
