Huang Qimin suddenly noticed that a large portion of Zhou Yan’s ear was red and there was a scar near the tip of his ear. He couldn't help but asked curiously, “Dog Poop Zhou, what happened to your ear?”

Truth was, that was how he proposed to Zhong Shulan as well. His lips curved upward reflexively when he thought about the past.
Wen Rugui’s eyes lit up. “Teacher, I’d like to take some time off to go and propose!”
It wasn’t every day that Jiao Boshan could see this side of Wen Rugui. “Go. And don’t bother coming back if you fail again!”
Wen Rugui nodded and hurried back to his own office.
He pulled his little notebook out from his drawer and started to write:

When he was done scribbling, he cleaned up some and went over to take some time off from the dean. He left for Capital City that very same day.
Huang Qimin and Zhou Yan only found that that Wen Rugui had taken time off to go home after work and they were very curiuos.
Huang Qimin, “Let’s have a wager whether Rugui’s proposal will be successful this time?”
Remembering their previous wager, Zhou Yan said cautiously, “I wager that he would fail again this time. The losing party must treat the winning party to the government-operated restaurant.”
Huang Qimin laughed and said, “Sure. I’ll wager that he will succeed. You better be ready to take me out to dinner.”
After he got home, Wen Rugui told Old Mr. Wen and Uncle Zong what he had learned and the three men started to get ready.
Tong Xuelu went to work just like usual the next day. She found Wen Rugui waiting outside the restaurant when he returned from the market.
