Chapter 503 - All in all, it was a very embarrassing moment. (1)

Fang Jingyuan rode her boke to the restaurant today and ran upstairs in excitement. “Xuelu guess what news I’ve heard?”

Tong Xuelu shook her head. “No idea.”

Fang Jingyuan looked complacent. “I never would think there would be a day when you couldn’t guess what is happening. Let me tell you. Tong Zhenzhen is getting married. And she is marrying Minister Yan!”

Tong Xuelu’s brows lifted. “Do tell. What is going on?”

Fang Jingyuan, “It was said that Minister Yan’s son had fallen into a lake and Tong Zhenzhen happened to pass by and saved him. Minister Yan was very appreciative of her and would like to have someone to take care of his two children. So he decided to marry Tong Zhenzhen.”

Tong Xuelu’s eyes lit up.

They had forgotten about a very important point. Tong Zhenzhen had been saving others from drowning left and right. The question is, can Tong Zhenzhen even swim?”

She recalled from the novel that Tong Zhenzhen did not know how to swim, nor did she have the opportunity to learn to swim in this lifetime.

That could be her opportunity to reveal Tong Zhenzhen and Yan Yongan’s lies.

That, however, would not be sufficient. She wondered how were things going on Su Yueshen’s front.

Tong Xuelu did not respond to her. She saw Fang Jingyuan out and headed over to the Su family.

That was the first time she had visited since everything had happened.

Mother Su was a little surprised when she saw Tong Xuelu. “Hi Xuelu, what brought you here?”

Mother Su was a little skinnier than she used to be and was not as well-spirited.

Tong Xuelu, “Grandma Su, I need to talk to Xiao Jiu’s dad about something work related.”

Mother Su frowned a little but finally let her in. “Xiao Jiu’s dad had just returned. I think he’s inside the study.”

Tong Xuelu had an idea what Mother Su had wanted to say and she was also grateful that she did not place the blame on her.

As she walked inside, Tong Xuelu saw Xiao Jiu sitting under the swing in a daze.

Looking at the direction that Tong Xuelu was looking at, Mother Su’s eyes reddened instantly. “He rarely smiles after what happened to his mother.”

Tong Xuelu felt sad as well, but now was not the time to comfort her. She turned and headed toward the study.

Su Yueshen, too, was a little surprised when he saw Tong Xuelu. “Have you had any new discovery, Comrade Tong?”

Tong Xuelu, “I came to talk about you about Tong Zhenzhen and Yan Yongan.”

Su Yueshen’s eyes lit up. “I’ve had some discovery on my end as well. I had planned to head over to your place tomorrow. I’m glad you’ve came.”

Tong Xuelu told her what had occurred to her.

Su Yueshen clapped his hands together. “That’s a great idea. Oh right, I’ve had some information with regards to Yan Yongan being responsible for his wife’s death. Along with what you are telling me right now, I’ll go turn him in tomorrow!”

He then shared with her what he had found out. The two then talked about their next steps.

Tong Xuelu stayed until it was almost dark outside.

Su Yueshen headed over to the High People's Procuratorate the very next day that Yan Yongan had fabricated stories and had abused his power in creating a fake national hero – Tong Zhenzhen.

Su Yueshen was no longer in power, but he still had his connections.

The report that he filed quickly reached Director of the Malpractice and Tort Prosecutor's Office. After much deliberation, an investigation into Yan Yongan and Tong Zhenzhen had been launched.

Per the investigation, there was no evidence to indicate that Tong Zhenzhen was, in fact, capable of swimming. That itself wasn’t enough proof. So a decision had been made to test out Tong Zhenzhen’s swimming capability.

After Tong Xuelu had learned of that, she volunteered to be one of the “actors”.
