Ning Zhi smiled. “He didn’t mean what he said. He won’t not let you return to the Lu’s for the rest of your life.”
Lu Jue said nothing.
Ning Zhi had no idea that Lu Jue’s idea was to never return and just stay with her. She looked at the time and asked gently, “Did you take your medications on time today?”
Having said that, she reached her hand out and touched Lu Jue on his forehead. It was still a little bit warm.
Lu Jue shook his head. Zhizhi’s hand was so soft. It was cool and it felt good when she touched him on his forehead.
“Take your medicines first then go get some rest.” Ning Zhi warned him. “No more aiming the air conditioner at you with wet clothes. If you do that again, I will not let you stay here anymore.”
Panic could be seen on Lu Jue when he heard that. He said sincerely, “I was wrong. I won’t do that again.”
Ning Zhi smiled finally and she couldn't help but pressed down and smoothed out the strand of hair on his forehead. “Okay, I’ll believe you for now.”

Lu Jue recovered from his illness the next day.
Had he not did what he did to keep himself sick, he would have recovered a long time ago.
Lu Jue found Ning Zhi in her study. He pushed open the glass door and walked inside of it. He saw that she had dozed off and the book in her hand was about to fall off her body.
He lightened his steps reflexively.
The sun shone through the glass room and into the study. The room was quiet and serene.
Walking over to the swing, he pulled over a little stool and sat down next to Ning Zhi.
With his two long legs, it was not easy for him to sit on a little stool. He blinked his black eyes and looked at Ning Zhi quietly.
He looked at her unrestrained and he looked passed her brows and eyes.
Ning Zhi had delicate brows and eyes, a straight nose, and red lips. All of them very pretty. Her fair little face was flawless. So white and tender that it made one wanted to stroke her.
Lu Jue’s eyes brightened up bit by bit. His Zhizhi was so pretty.
No matter what Zhizhi looked like, he liked her a lot.
Quietly, Lu Jue carefully moved his stool closer to Ning Zhi.
Looked at Ning Zhi from such close distance, Lu Jue still never that he could never see enough of her.
Lu Jue picked up the book that was about to fall off, placed it to one side, and, once again, he scooted closer to Ning Zhi.
It was very quiet inside the study and Ning Zhi was sound asleep. The hem of her dress slipped down from the swing and most of her delicate and fair calf was showing. Perhaps unconsciously, her leg stretched and stuck out from the swing. Her hem rode up some more and now her entire calf was exposed.
Lu Jue worried that the air-conditioning would be too cold for Ning Zhi so he grabbed the little blanket that was laying there and gently put it over Ning Zhi’s leg.
He had just put it on her when, the very next second, Ning Zhi kicked it off impatiently. The little blanket fell straight onto the floor.
Lu Jue bent down to pick it up. Bad Zhizhi. Kicked her blanket off.
He put it back on her again and his downcast eyes inadvertently caught sight of Ning Zhi’s foot. Lu Jue was stunned right away.
Compared to his big foot, this was the first time that Lu Jue had noticed how small and fair Ning Zhi’s foot was. Even her ankle was fair and delicate.
Curious, Lu Jue couldn't help but reached out and gently touched Ning Zhi’s ankle. He grabbed it gently. It was so small.
Lu Jue looked at it in a trance. After a long while, he finally placed the blanket over Ning Zhi’s foot again reluctantly.
He sat back on his little stool and continued to wait for Ning Zhi to wake up.
Lu Jue did not feel bored. Nor did he know what bored was. His world had always only consisted of himself. It was dark and bland.
Now that he had Zhizhi, that had given him hope. Lu Jue’s heart would beat uncontrollably just staying with Ning Zhi quietly.
He loved that feeling.
