Seeing that she did not respond, Old Mr. Wen was anxious. “Xuelu, I know that Rugui could be a fool some times and is not a sweet talker, but he is a nice and honest kid. I promise that he will be nice to you. I will be the first to beat him to death if he’s not good to you!”

Wen Rugui, “……” You sure are you real grandpa, Grandpa.

Wen Rugui tightened his lips some. “She said she would let me know after she had talked to her grandfather.”

Zhou Yan patted Wen Rugui on his shoulder to feign compassion. He was secretly happy about it.

Wen Rugui’s proposal flopped. That was heaven being on his side!

He, too, would take time off in a couple of days to go and propose. One way or another, he wanted to be engaged before Wen Rugui!

Wen Rugui grunted and returned to his dormitory dispirited.

Dean Jiao moved an office the next day and Wen Rugui went to help out.

Low and behold, Wen Rugui bumped his back while moving a cabinet and then twisted it.

The injury was quite serious and he couldn’t even stand up straight. He would break out in cold sweat if he so much as try to stand up straight. He had no choice but to rest in bed.

Huang Qimin and Zhou Yan both came to visit him at his dormitory.

Huang Qimin looked at him in contempt. “Shut up, Poop Poop Head Zhou. How can women have children without man? Have you seen any girls getting pregnant before they get married?”
